Pemberton & Sons

Pemberton & Sons has a long history producing exquisitely crafted door furniture and hardware, with a legacy that spans five centuries. The story begins in the late seventeenth century, when the brazier William Pemberton founded the business in Livery Street, Birmingham.

Over the following centuries successive generations of Pembertons developed the company into a vibrant and flourishing business, establishing its reputation for innovation and producing the finest architectural hardware, culminating in an invitation to shine brightly at The Great Exhibition of 1851 in Hyde Park, London.

James Howard, the great, great nephew of Thomas Edgar, has gone back to his roots to revive its fortunes emulating the energetic works of Thomas Pemberton II, launching a collection of designs carefully chosen from the archive to chime with both traditional and contemporary aesthetics.

Today the company offers a fully bespoke service. Pemberton & Sons are also the exclusive Agents for P.E Guerin, the US based Artistic hardware brand, who share a similar rich history.
